How StagePool works

Up to now StagePool is Europe’s biggest job portal for professional artists and producer. After 8 years of successful work, we count 5500 artists and 3500 registered and well-known production companies, such as Stage Entertainment Ltd., Grundy Light Entertainment, Aolta Theater Essen and Tresor TV Ltd. who make use of our services. Every month StagePool publishes more than 2000 jobs and contacts about 50 producers every day.

Thereby actors, musical performers, presenters, dancers and other artists of the entertainment sector will be provided with new and up-to-date casting and audition information not only from Germany, Austria or Switzerland, but also from all over Europe. At the moment there are about 1500 jobs and more than 200 advertisements of theaters, TV production companies, casting agencies and freelancers online.

As a member of StagePool you have the opportunity to apply for these jobs. In addition, you are registered in our artist register.

 How does StagePool differ from similar service providers / websites?

• StagePool mostly publishes paid jobs – the salary depends on the job. Offers, which are unpaid, can be easily filtered in our system.

• With our application tool “DigiCV” you can apply with just one click. All of your documents, including showreels, audio samples, pictures and CV, will be sent from your StagePool account to the producers.

What’s next after you have signed up?

• Complete your CV with correct information about your education, experiences, qualities and appearance
• Load up representative pictures as quickly as possible. In order to be able to apply to all of our jobs, you need to have at least 1 picture on your CV
• Apply: all of our job advertisements are visible in your account and you can send your application via email, mail or DigiCV directly to the producers.

No picture – no job

Without a picture on your profile you can not send an application via DigiCV, which means: no picture – no job. In addition, you will not be added to our artist register, which selected producers have access to.

You can upload pictures to your StagePool account through the “Multimedia Center” or send them via email to bilderservice@stagepool.com

What should the pictures look like?

As a Gold member you can upload 5 pictures into your account. Use the opportunity to present yourself in a versatile way

• Indroduce yourself with at least one portrait picture, one profile picture and one full body shot – additionally on picture from hip up
• Show many facets, which underline your diversity: sometimes sweet, sometimes wild, etc.
• The pictures should look natural: a neutral background would be best
• The images have to have a high quality, not blurred or fuzzy, with good lighting conditions and correct distance
• Black and white pictures are acceptable, but there should be at least one or two color photos in your selection.

What should you avoid?

• Only use images, where no one else is visible. Group pictures are not suitable.
• No touched up pictures! Of course, photoshop is a funny thing, but remember how important it is that the producers recognize you at auditions and castings
• No excessive make-up: The employer, producer, etc. prefers to see your natural look in order work with you.
• Do not use any pictures with sunglasses, hats or other accessories which make it difficult to see you hair color, eye color, etc.

 How do I fill in my StagePool CV?

1. Login to your StagePool account with your username and password
2. Click “EDIT CV” and fill in your complete CV including

• contact information (address, e-mail, phone number)
• year of birth
• playing age (the range of age you could be playing lookwise)
• appearance, dress size, size
• education
• experiences
• main profession

1. Load up files in your multimedia centre. As a Gold, Kids or Backstage member you can also add your CV with previews, videos, PDF´s and word documents

 How do I apply for jobs?

1.      Find advertisements: In “JOBS & OFFERS” you will find all advertisements that match to your StagePool profile.

2.      Read the advertisements: By clicking on the advertisement its text opens. Read it carefully! StagePool offers many different job opportunities and you are welcome to apply to every job – just remember that you should fit the job requirements. Do not apply to jobs at random, which require skills you do not have. To get the best results, first check the requirements of the employers.

3.      Apply: Either apply through DigiCV if it is possible, or just follow the instructions mentioned in the advertisement. read more...

 What are DigiCV applications?

DigiCV is exactly the CV that you can see in your account. Therefore, it is important to fill in your education and experience and to upload an adequate picture before you apply.

You recognize advertisements posted as DigiCV, if you see a “D” next to the advertisements. At the bottom of the advertisement appears “Apply with DigiCV to this audition”. Here you can select which of your uploaded files should be added to your CV. By clicking “Apply with DigiCV to this audition” you send your application to the producer. Producers answer as quickly as possible and you can find the producer’s answer under “My inbox” in your StagePool account.
